This one came straight out of my head, without using any reference. I've always believed that cats are little furry dragons of a sort.

About the style and medium: I wanted to find a way to do pen and ink that could eliminate the need for glass, so that the painting could be enjoyed without any barriers between it and the viewer. Acrylic ink acts like acrylic paint; once it's dry it can be varnished over, and there you have it.

Have you ever had a drink called a Pink Lady? It's a very rich drink made with gin, grenadine and heavy cream. I had a favorite aunt who used to love to drink them, but after she had one became quite flushed and hot. I originally thought of calling this painting "I'll have what she's having" because of the lovely pink lady here but decided that might be too obtuse. This painting is for sale for $400.
