There is nothing that captures my eye than a scampering iridescent beetle across the forest floor. This is one of the largest ground beetles in the USA that is iridescent...It is called the Fiery Searcher AKA....Caterpillar Hunter! As it's name implies it feasts on caterpillars. This painting combines, colored pencil and watercolor pencils. It is part of my online class- Experimenting with Colored Pencils.
